SHOCKING DEATH OF AN ENGINE DRIVER.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Duxkdn, Wednesday. Thomas Meek, engine driver, was oiling his engine at main station, this morning. He was on the ground, and asked the fireman to move the engine a little. The fireman seems to have misinterpreted the request, for he moved the engine towards Meek, and it crushed him against a coal-shed. He was dreadfully injured, and on being taken to the hospital, died within an hour or two. He leaves a wife and three children.
