CRICKET.
A MEETixw of cricketers was held last evening in the Thames Hotel for the purpose of arranging to send a representative team to the South during the present season. Mr. W. P. Buckland occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of representatives of the Auckland clubs. Correspondence from the various clubs in different parts in the South was read, and the offers made proving satisfactory, it wao agreed that a representative .team should be sent to the South, and Messrs. Bucklaid, Dewes, and Robinson were elected a managing committee to carry out the details. Messrs. P. Dufaur (A.U.C.C.), T. Macky (W.E.C.C.), and W. W. Robineon (A.C.C.) were appointed as a committee to select the team. Mr. Buckland intimated, that he would advance the passage money of the representative team. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the proceedings.
