Tho following were passengers for the North by the s.s. Hawea, this afternoon : — Mrs. Hurst, Messrs. Mitchelson, Peacock, Hurst, George, Morris, Dr. Pollen, Hon. J. Williamson, Hon. Customs Office : Locker, £157 ; cadet, £(jO. Harbours : Whangarei harbourmaster and pilot, £00; Kaipara steam launch, to be used as a tug, £1500 ; Thames High School, £500; Whangarei High School, £100. Working railways, Auckland section : Contingencies, £2S ; expenses of collecting tolls, Auokland (additional), £203 ; lands ranger (additional), £23; unexpended balance of item 21, vote 49, of last year for sanatorium at Ohinenmtu, £2152.
