THE SUPPRESSION OF LARRIKINISM.
[BY TELEGKAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CiTßisTcntTßcn, Monday. An influential meeting of citizens, including the Mayor, Bishop, Dean, and a large number of the clergy, was held to consider what steps it was most advisable should be taken to prevent the spread of larrikinism. After considerable discussion, the motion of the Dean was carried as follows:—"That it is desirable that an effort should be made to provide healthy occupation and amusement in the evenings for the young men of Christchurch and suburbs." A committee was appointed to consider the best means for securing the object in view, and to report at an early date,
