The British, French, and other Con-suls-General resident here have gone to Alexandria. Alexandria, June 14. 1 The ringleaders in the recent attack upon Europeans hero have been, arrested. In consequence of the unsettled condition of the city, the garrison has been largely increased. The total force of troops is now 1-2,200. TURKISH TROOPS FOR EGYPT. London, June 15. The London Times this morning publishes a telegram from Egypt stating that the Khedive and Dervish Pasha, the Chief Turkish . Commissioner, have sent a request to the Sultan that 18,000 Turkish troops should be despatched without delay to Alexandria. June 16. The statement contained in. a telegram published in this morning's Times, that the Khedive and Dervish Pasha have requested the Sultan to despatch IS,OOO Turkish troops to Egypt, is now fully confirmed. GENERAL EXODUS FROM CAIRO. Cairo, June 15. A general exodus of Europeans from this city to Alexandria is taking place. The offices of the English and French Comptrollers-General have been closed. TAKING SHELTER ON BOARD THE SHIPPING. Alexandria, June 15. British, German, French, and Greek vessels now in port have been ordered to take on board any subjects of their respective countries who may desire to embark. ARRESTS AT ALEXANDRIA. Alexandria, June 15. Two hundred natives in all have been arrested in connection -with the recent outbreak. CONFERENCE ON EGYPTIAN AFFAIRS. London, June 15. The proposition to hold a conference for the settlement of the Egyptian question is now gaining fresh prominence in European political circle:;. .
