WAIWERA HOT SPRINGS COMPANY, LIMITED.
A preliminary meeting of leading citizens ami capitalists was held at the offices of Messrs. Milne aud White, Colonial Bank. Buildings, at 2 p.m. oil May 12, to consider the propriety of forming a company to purchase and manage the Waiwera sanatorium. ■Amongst the gentlemen present were the following:- Messrs. W. J. Hurst, M.H.R, W. Aitken, T. Morrin, J. Banks. E. C. Barstow, H. Brett, F. G. Ewiugtou, Frater, Holdship, Fisher (of Fisher and Co.), Wren, Newman, McMurrock, Wink?, McCullough, J. Cosgrave, Burtt, Douglas, K. C. Greenwood, S. Kohn, D. B. Cruickshank, and Captaiu Broun Mr. T. Morris - moved, " That a company be formed in accordance with the prospectus submitted by Mr. .Tt. Graham." Mr. R. C. Gkkknwoou seconded the motion, and it was carried. Mr. t>. B. Cbpicksiia.vk moved, "That a sub-committee be appointed, consisting of MisHsra. J. L. Campbell, W. Aitken, T. Morriu, Jos. Bunlts, H. C. Barstow. Winks, D. Nathan, H. C. Greenwood, J. Cosgmvc, H. Brett, Black, T. Buddie, J. Bennett, aud the mover, to arrange all the details incidental to the formation of a company nnd the purchase of tlm property at the Waiwera xiot Springs." Mr. Flshkh (of Fisher and Co.) seconded the motion, which was put to the meeting :md unanimously agreed to. In a few minutes 3000 shares were, subscribed for in the room, and a great many wore taken up immediately aftorwarda.
