The brigantine Aurora cleared at the Customs yesterday for Tairua. She will take a cargo of timber thence for Sydney. The s.s. Wellington left yesterday evenins for Tauranga, with several passengers and assorted cargo. The s.s. Glenelg also left for Russell. The s.s. Hero left "Wellington on Monday, and is due here on Thursday. She proceeds to Whangarei for coal, and returns South on Monday, April 17. Yesterday evening the s.s. Arawata left for Kussell with a number of passengers and miscellaneous cargo. She returns on Thursday morning, and will leave for the South at noon on the same day. The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Southern Cross is expected to arrive from Southern Ports on Thursday night. The mission schooner Southern Cross cleared at the Customs on Monday, and sailed for Norfolk Island yesterday at noon with a few passengers and a full cargo. The barque Lovspring left yesterday for Vavau. She take 3 with her eight passengers and a full cargo, part of which is for Vavau, and part for Sydney. After discharging her Vavau cargo, she will complete her loading with copra for Sydney. Yesterday morning the new schooner Wairiki berthed at tho Queen-street Wharf, and she commenced loading a miscellaneous cargo for the island 3. She is expected to sail next week. Yesterday the ship Oxford had discharged all her cargo with the exception of about 150 tons. In the afternoon she commenced ballasting, and will probably leave for Akoyah about the middle of next week. The schooner Waiwcra was entered out at the Customs yesterday for Lord Howe Island and Noumea. The s.s, Argyle arrived from Whangarei late on Monday evening, with fifteen passengers, and the following cargo 26 sacks gum, 13 sacks oysters, 7 cases fruit, and 10 packages sundries. On Monday morning the s.s. Oreti arrived from the South. Mr. Millet, purser, furnishes the following report Left Wellington on the 4th instant, and arrived at Napier at 6.30 a.m. on the Gth ; was there detained through stress of weather until 10 p.m. the same day, arriving atGisborne on the morning of the 7tli ; left Oisborne at 1 a.m. tho s-tme day, and called at Kopau with 350 telegraph poles ; left on Sunday night at 10 p.m., arriving in harbour on Monday morning, at 5 o'clock. The brig Vision cleared at the Customs yesterday for Kaipara. The s.s. Fingal arrived from Mangawai yeaterterday morning, with a few passengers. Cargo : 103 sacks gum, and 2 tons sundries. Mr Burton, ot the schooner Asteroid, mtendß to resume his cruise in a few days. He intends, we understand, to proceed to Samoa from Auckschooner Elizabeth aleared at the Customs yesterday, for Samoa via Levuka. Tho damage done to the jib-boom of the Alcestis, by the Loongana running into her on Monday morning, was yesterday put in hands for repair, by Captain Fisher, of the Loongana. The s.s. Kotaku is advertised to leave for Te Aroha and Upper Thames river on Friday, 14th jnitant.
