KING'S V. LANKHAM'S ELEVENS. A cricket match was played on the Domiin ground yesterday between elevens captained by Messrs King and W. "Lankbam. The latter went to the wickets first, and were all disponed of for SO—A. MacC'ormick contributed 31, the others not calling: for mention. King's Eleven "then went in, and contributed 00 for the loss of 5 wickets, Thwaitcs and Chceseman being the highest scorers. The bowling of both teams was weak, with the exception of Burton's " slows."
AUCKLAND V. THAMES.
[OV TELEGRAPH.—OW«f CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday. The cricket match Auckland v. Thames was commenced to-day on the Parawai Ground. The Thames lirst innings closed for a total of 45 runs. The Auckland men put together a total of S5. In their second inninirs the Thames team succeeded in making 10 runs for the loss of three wickets. TLe match will be continued to-morrow.
TO-DAY'S MATCHES. The match North Shore v. West End has been postponed to Saturday, the 2"» th instant, the North hhore being unable to get a team for the advertised nrogramme date. A cri.rket match will be played on No. 4 wicket to-day between the West End Sec mil Eleven and Xorta Shoro'Unitud CO. For West End : Raker, Brown, lierry, Mears, Lewis, Laxon, Courtayne, Waters, Talbor, Hanna, and Woods. Emergencies: lieavan and Chapman. North Shore (second team) : Wynyard (2), Sinbin (2), .'ohnson (2), Gill, Niccol. Reid, Sims, and Colgan. Emergencies : Bartley and Pitts. United v. Whau.— The following will represent the United :—Thwaitcs. Sadler. Cunaran, Thomas, Shove, George (2;, Mcl'herson, Harvie, J hnson, and Rogers. Emergencies : Charters and Kirby. A match is to be commenced to-day in the Domain between eleven of the Auckland United C.C. and fifteen of the Gordon C.C, to be continued next Saturday. The United Eleven are—Jervis, Testro, Lankham (2), A. MacCormick, Cromwell, Dufaur, Muraford, Thompson, Gardner, nnd Carr. The Auckland C.C. Second Eleven plays Ponsonby on No. 2 wicket this afternoon. The following players will do battle for Auckland:-- .1. The match Ponsonby Second Eleven v. Onehunga Second Eleven will take place to-day at Onehunga. A ilrag will leave the Union Bank at 1.35 p.m. sharp. The following is the Ponsonby team:—J.
