The Company as it exists at present has mainl devoted attention to the manufacture of Hematit Paints, and its brands have been received withmarke favour in the Colonial Markets, It has, howeve been considered that by increasing the capital an conducting the operations on a more extensive scal< the usefulness of the Company will be extended, an the concern—which is at present paying a fair intere on the capital employed—may be made to pay ham some dividends. It is manifestly greatly to the interest of the Color that an industry which is calculated to afford eraplo; ment for a large number of workmen, and which ah tends towards the development of its mineral r sources, should be pushed on energetically and wil vigour. The promoters contemplate including in the oper tions of the Company the manufacture of silica paints and pigments of various colours, the materia for which abound in the Thames and surroundii districts.
