Laery and Campbell report Peaches brought 7s to 7s Cd per case ; apples (eating sorts), 7s to 'Js ; (cooking), Cs; quinces, 5s (Jd per case ; rears, 8s tkl per case; watermelons, 3s 6d per dozen; fresh butter, 7d; eggs brought Is 9d ; ducks and fowls sold at 3s 6d per pair; potatoes are worth £3 5s to £3 10h per ton ; onions remain a drug, and oats arc scarce.
