Mr. T. V. Fitzpatrick, valuer, was called in evidence m support of the objection but the district valuer asked that the ca«e be thrown out of Court, on a curious technical informality. The objector lived at Komokorau, and had dated his objection from Jsfgaruawahia, explaining? that he did so because his rating notice had been addressed to him by the district valuer to Ngaruawahia, and asked to have the case heard on its merits. This Captain MePherson objected to, and the case was dismissed. Mr. Fitzpatrick appeared in support of an application by Mr. Xathan Rumney, of Hokouui, who objected on the score of excessive valuation, and the amount was reduced from £1;>0 to £SO. An objection by Mr. T.
