POLICE COURT.—Mosdat. [Boforc Messrs. Jlartelli and A. Clements, J.P.sJ Alleged Assault. — YV. Wharton, abont twelve years of age, was charged vi" assaulting anotlier lad named Wallace, The accused aud complainant attend the Moiut Albert Scliool. Tlie evidence of a number of the scholars was taken. The Bench dismissed accused with a caution.
Assault.—Henry Smith was charges with assaulting John Cock by striking him on the face with his clenched fist. Air. Cotter appeared for the complainant. After hearing the evidence of oomplainant, Mr. Leigh, aud Tcomplamant's daughter, Ahe Bench found accused guilty, aud imposed a fine of 10s and costs, or seven days' imprisonment.
