THEATRE ROYAL.—MASTODON MINSTRELS.

• The first performance of these minstrels drew a full house to the theatre last night. This is not only the largest, but the beat organization of the kind we have witnessed. The baud is particularly good, with the full orchestral complement of instruments. The concerted singing is also excellent. We have not space, in consequence of the arrival of the Californian mail, to enter into details. This entertainment is also full of variety. There is an immense amount of cleverness of a " special" kind invested in it. The eight corner men produce uncontrolled laughter by conundrums, and bones ami tambourines, and by dancing "break downs." All are very good. The "Mastodons" are sure to run for some time. The audience was thoroughly satisfied. The fun was quite exhilarating. There is nothing in the entertainment that is offensive to good taste.
