FIRE AT NOTTINGILAM CASTLE HOTEL, MORRINSVILLE.
[FROM OUT. OWS COPJIESrOXDEN'T.J PiAiio, Wednesday. Tre detauhed kitcheu and stables of the Nottingham Castle Hotel were burned down early this morning. The house had a parrow escape. About 1 a.m. a man named Baillett, sleeping in a room off the kitchen, was woke up by the smoke and flumes, and scarcely escaped with his life, being unable even to save some £70 in note 3 he had with him. He gave the alarm, and the inmates of the hotel turned out at once. The kitchen is about six or seven yards from the hotel, but there happened to be a good well of water, or the main'building must have gone. As it is, was burned in the weather-boarding and it caught fire several times opposite the kitchen, and the well just gave out as the danger was over. The kitchen and large stables in the rear were burned down. -.-No horses were injured, but a buggy was jburnt in the stables. Mr. Brown is insured.
