Ilis sire and dam were imported from Melbourne, and got by prize-imported Clydesdales from Scotland. Earl Derby took first prise at Ellerslie for the best three-year old. His progeny in general hn.ve given good satisfaction. With small light-boned mares the stock are greatly improved. The breed is well-known, being prize-takers in various classes for a number of years, and selling by t>ublic auction, as two-year olds, for £60 and £63. He will stand at Wairoa" on Mondays and Tuesdays ; Papakura West (Pukekohe), on Wednesdays ; Tuakau, on Thursdays ; Bombay and Ramarama, on Fridays; Maketu and Drury, on Saturdays.
