Saturday's sale at the Whau, of household furniture, cattle, Ac-, was well attended, and all sold at exceedingly good figures.'- - Monday's sale of fruit, ex Myrtle, from the Islands, was largely .attended by the trade and others, and, considerhiß the condition of the fruit, fair prices were realised. Bananas sold at |d to 2Jd per lb.; oranges, ssd to "d per dozen; cocoanuts, 4s 9d to 6s per 100. The sale of unredeemed pledges from Mt. J. Hart, of the London Loan Office, Victoria-street, was well attended throughout. Competition was -fairly brisk, and fair prices were realised. A large nuniber of watches' were sold at prices varying from 8s to £4 each. The clothing brought very good prices. The sale of furniture at Mr. Carlow's, O'Connell-street, Campbellville, Ponsonby, was also well attended, smart com T petition, first-class prices were obtained. Tues'iiy's sale at the mart—sugar, more or less dr>magoa, sold at 3Jd per lb. The sale of drapery stock was well attended throughout; it continued to a late hour, and prices were satisfactory. Wednesday's sale at Mart- of Canterbury potatoes and onions, on account of whom it may concern, more or less damaged. Potatoes with the sacks sold at 42s 0(1 to 45s per ton ; onions, |d per lb. Thursday.—Sale of Sydney fruit ex s.s. Arawata. Oranges sold at 8s to 83 3d; mandarines, 7s 6d per case; sundry lots of apples brought ljd to 2id per lb; carrots, 3s 6d per cwt. ■, Friday.—Sale of poultry, produce, &c, at mart. Tiio attendance was not large as usual, or the entries so numerous, still a fair, amount of business was done. Cheese and butter could not be cleared out. Some lines of bacon had to be passed, the bidding not coming up to the prices expected by owners. Potatoes and onions were pretty well cleared out. Poultry .were entered in fair quantity, but a large number were out of condition, all in good sold -well. MR. ALFRED BTJCKLA.ND'S REPORT. ■ At the Greyhound yards today, fodder was in full supply, oaten hay bringing from 3s to 4s; meadow, 23 6d to 43 3d per cwt. Tho Hayms»rket yards were well filled with horses, nearly 100 being disposed of. A draft of Mr...Walter Paul's stock brought fair prices, considering' they were in very low condition, and consisting principally of foals and twoyeiroldsV The foals sold at from £2 to £7 10a ; two years, £7 to £14 10s; three-year-olds, £10 to £16. Mr. Carruth had five draught fillies, which brought from £19 to £27. Heavy draught sold from £22 to £39, and a number of light harness horses and hacks, from £6 to £12.
