Sydney, May 06. Instead of the usual -2000 or 3000 people barely 250 were at Clontarf on the Queeu's Birthday.

It is believed to be chicken-pox, bnt the disease is not sufficiently developed to say for certain what it is. The steamer Victoria has been sent to Bass's Straits to search for the barque Cambria, overdue from Mauritius to Launeeston.

QUEENSLAND. Brisbane, May 26. The axle of one of the trucks broke whilst a train was going down the Little Liverpool Range, yesterday. Four trucks were thrown off the Hue. The train arrived three hem re late.

Mr. John Davidson alias Dickson, a passenger from India, by the steamer Rowa, was found dead in bed at the Palace Royal Hotel, Ipswich, on Tuesday. There was evidence of prussic acid being found in the stomach. A gun was found fixed to go oil' on opening the door "of ths bedroom.
