SALE OF ALLOTMENTS AT THE THAMES.
MessM. Gellion and Co. report the sale of freehold allotments, Pollen and Mary-etreots, Shortland, on Thursday, the 21st inst. Ac follows :—Lot 1, Pollen and Mary-streets, £8 5e per foot (Mr. McGowan); lot 2, Pollen-street, £0 15s per foot (Mr. Dinby); lot 3, Mary-atreer, allotment 440, £3 10s per foot (Mr. Hume); lot 4, Mary-street, allotment 439, £4 per foot (Mr. Towacnd); lot 5, Mary-street, allotment 4SB, £4 5s (Mr. Danby) ; lot 6, Mary-street, allotment 436, £3 10s (Mr. Andrews). There was a. good attendance of buyers and bidding spirited, evincing a disposition on the part of the public for the acquisition of freehold properties in good localities. The purchasers were all local business men.
