February 14, and sailed again on. the 16th for Line Island, via Quiros Island, ' having taken in water and some articles of trade. : The Orwell had been trading at] the Islands tc the N.E. of the Saraoan group. The schooner Belle Brandon arrived at Apia from Auckland on March 1. She was ready foi 304 on the 4th, but was detained through two of her crew absconding. The barque Glimpse sailed for Bus3ell yesi torday, where she will take in a cargo of coal foi Honolulu. . From Honolulu she proceeds tc .: Puget Sound to load timber for Melbourne. The-b.s. Wellington arrived from Tauranga alioufc 2 o'clock yesterday. She was expected la the morning, but was detained at Taurangs : several hours by grounding near the wharf. The Wellington returned thither at 6.30 p.m. , -The 3tella, s.s., Captain Fairchild, sailed foi '. the North last night at 11 o'clock. The 5.3. Argyle arrived from Whangarei last night with passenirers, and the following cargo —26 casoa gum, 52 sacks gum, 50 case 3 fruit, • 10 boxes butter, 13 boxes eggs, 10 boxe3 fowlt . and turkeys, 8 hides, 3 guns, 4 sacks chaff, and 3 tons sundries. The Argyle leaves again this afternoon at 5 o'elock for the same port. The brigantine Estelle is loading at Oamaru for this pert. Messrs. S. Cochrane and Son held a sale ol -; zoedone yesterday. Twelve dozen quarts rea lisod 7s 9d per dozen, and 71 dozen pints 5s 0c . per dozen. ■
