A little unpleasantness occurred through a misunder- - standing about the time at which thestumps were to have been drawn, and also over sending the men to the wickets. Cricketers ought to remember that nothing is gained by allowing nearly ten minutes to elapse before a man is sent to the wickets, and that such conduct spoils the game. The United second eleven have always made it a practice to have their men ready, and when they have been defeated, taken the defeat with, the best possible spirit, hopiug for better luck next time.
