[BY CABLE.] [rkuter's telegrams.] ADJOURNMENT OP PARLIA- . . MENT. London, April 8. Parliament adjourned to-day to April 25th for the Easter Recess. FRANCE AND THE TUNISIAN DIFFICULTY. Paris, April S. ' Telegrams have been, received from Algiers, announcing that the 10,000 troops dispatched from France, in view of the difficulty in Tunis have been landed at Bona, a seaport on the Algerian coast, near the Tunisian frontier. THE GRECO-TURKISH DISPUTE. Constantinople, April 8. The envoys of the Powers to the Porte have had under consideration the circular recently issued by the Greek Government, justifying its refusal of the offer made by Turkey for the settlement of the frontier difficulty. In reply, the ambassadors have sent a cireular note to the Hellenic Govern ment peremptorily notifying, as a final decision, that it has been determined that the extended Greek frontier shall alone consist of the provinces of Thessaly, with a strip of country in the South of Epirus, including the town of Previsa, on the Northern shore of the Gulf of Arta. The note adds, however, that it has been agreed that the fortress of Previsa may be dismantled by Turkey before being surrendered. TASMANIAN AND FIJIAN LOANS. London, April 8. The tenders for the Tasmanian loan of £300,000, at 4 per ,cent., were opened to-day, and were found to contain applications amounting to four times the sum required. The loan will be allotted at £99 6s Bd. Tenders for the loan for the colony of Fiji of £150,000, bearing interest at per cent., were also opened to-day, aud the amount asked for was likewise found to be quadrupled. The whole loan will be allotted at £99 10s.
DUKE OF ARGYLE'S RESIGNATION. London, April S. It is announced that the Duke of Argyle has resigned his position as Lord of the Privy Seal in the Ministry. ■ His Grace's resignation is due to a difference of opinion with his late colleagues as to the provisions of the Irish Land Bill which has been introduced in Parliament. DUKE OF ARGYLE'S SUCCESSOR. London, April 8. Lord Carlingford (formerly Mr. Chichester Fortescue) succeeds the Duke of Argyle as Lord of the Privy Seal. EARL BEACONSFIELD'S ILLNESS. London, April 8. The bulletin issued this morning states that Earl Beaconsfield's relapse has left him exceedingly weak, and an uneasiness is expressed as to his state. Great general anxiety is felt at. the critical nature of His Lordship's illness. The bulletin issued this evening re ports that Earl Beaconsfield continues very weak, and is still in a critical state. ITALIAN MINISTERIAL CRISIS. Roue, April S. The Chamber of Deputies has negatived the vote of confidence in the Ministry, and Signor Cairoli and his colleagues have accordingly tendered their resignation to the King. A HOSTILE MOTION. London, April 8. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach has given notice in the House of Commons of a motion censuring the Government for its settlement, of the Transvaal difficulty. WHEAT FOR GREAT BRITAIN. London, April 8. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,430,000 quarters. LONDON MONEY MARKET. London, April 8. Consols are 100^. 4 1 per cent. Now Zealand Loan has advanced to 98 ; the 5 per cent. 10-40 loan remains at 102J-, and the 5 per cent. 18S9 loan, at 106. The best Austi-alian beef Tallow has risen to 34s per cwt., and the best mutton unchanged at 36s Gd. Best Australian leather has advanced £d, and to-day is quoted at 10-f d per lb.
