In the House of Commons, this afternoon Mr. Gladstone gave notice that he would propose "That a majority of three-fourths of the House, on the motion of ' urgency, , should suffice to give the Speaker supreme coutrel over the Chamber, and give him immediate power to suppress disorder." Australian beef tallow is 35s 6dj best mutton, 3Ss. The stock of tallow in London on Wednesday was 13,200 casks. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following report:— London, February 1. Wool.—Market unchanged. Up to date 173,000 bales have arrived. Trade in the manufacturing districts is unchanged. Wheat.—Market flat. Adelaide is worth 50s; "Victorian, 49s Gd; and New Zealand, 47s per 4961b5. Tallow.—Market firm. Mutton is worth 375, and beef 34s 6d per cwt. Leather.—Market quiet. .Best sides, 11 Ad.
