Niw Zealand Herald Office. Friday evening. The Customs receipts to-day amounted to £'CC3 10s 4d. ± . Messrs. E. and A. Isaacs held an extensive cle a ing out sale of spirits, wines, beer, cigars, machinery, &c, in the estate of Messrs. Ry.in, Bell, and Co., on Wednesday. The sale was numerously attended by the trade, and fair prices were realised. Mr. W. Dowden's weekly sale of produce passed off very satisfactory, a considerable quantity of gooiis beins disposed of. Potatoes realised £2 10a to £3 10a per tou, and onions Id Messrs. Carbines and Lusher's weekly report: Thursday's outdoor sale of household furniture was well attended, and good prices realised. At Friday's sale there was a good attendance, and n quantity of produce, furniture, and clothing were disposed off. Poultry : Fowls fetch Is 7d to 2s 3d ; canaries, 10a each. Produce : Maize. 3j 6d ; oats, 2s 2d ; bran, £4 10a; oatmeal, 1M : Uour, £5 to £11; rice, 2£d ; tea, 18j, box ; half-chest, 2s 3d; sugar, 3J.1 to 4 j<l; candles, 9d ; mustard, 9a per dozen, -Jib. tins; onions, jd to Id ; new pototoes, 2s Cd to 3* 6d ; beef, 6s per keg ; salt beef, 4d ; roll bacon, G.I ; cheese. -JJd per lb.; rhubarb, 2dper bundle; salt, 03 6d per cwt.; soap, 7s per box ; kerosene, 2s Id ; hematite paint, 26s per cwt.; bonedust, £7 10*. • Mr. R.
