[BY TELEGRAPH. —rBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The stike of seamen ia causing some annoyance to the owners of steamers. The steamer Manawatu was ready to leave for Wanganui this evening, but at the last moment the crew refused to proceed to sea unless the demands of the Seamen's Union was complied with. The men were given into custody, and itre to be charged with refussing duty. Three of the Huia's crew also refused duty, and were treated in a similar manner. The . steamer, however, was enabled to sail for its destination having made up a crew from the seamen of the ship Antares, now in port. The steamer Patea's crew are also on strike. The owners of steamers state that they have determined not to comply with the demand of the Union" ,
