FATAL ACCIDENT.
[by telegraph.—pkess association.] Wellington, Wednesday. An accident happened at Waikana,e Bridge this :morning. The scaffolding gave way, and one man named Johnson , was killed, while two others, severely injured, have been brought to the hospital. , , / Later.—Johnson, who was killed by the accident at the Waikauae bridge this ing, leayes a wife and three children., The other two who were injured, are Walker and Griggs ; the former received a severe scalp wound, ajid Griggs a fracture of .the thigh and ankle, by the falling of scaffolding, which is attributed to a flaw in, a tree.. .supporting the side of the .scaffolding which gave way.
