[BY CABLE ] [rkuter's telegrams.] THE GREEK AND TURKISH , FRONTIER. London, January 31. In the House of Commons to-day, Sir Charles Dilbe, Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, was questioned as to the present state of the negotiations for the settlement of the Greek frontier difficulty. In reply he stated that the question of holding a conference was no longer under consideration, but that it had been agreed that the ambassadors of the Powers at the Turkish and Greek courts should negotiate in the matter, and there was every hope that united action would bring about a peaceful solution of the frontier question. THE FORCES FOR THE TRANSVAAL. London, January 31. In the House of Commons Mr. Childers, Secretary for War, in reply to a question, said that the total reinforcements expected to arrive at Durban, in Natal, by February 10, for service in the Transvaal, was 4500 men. He added that the Boers had not committed any outrages, and would be treated according to the rules of civilised warfare. MORE FRESH MEAT IMPORTS. London, January 31. The steamer Protos has been chartered for two more voyages between Australia and London to bring cargoes of fresh meat and other articles of food. THE WESTERN PACIFIC. London, January 31. The Gazette of to-day announces the appointment of Sir W. Des Vteux, Governor of Fiji, to assist in the High Commissionership of the Western Pacific. LONDON MARKETS. London, January 31.
