Met with strong winds, cloudy weather, and high head 3ea 011 the following morning. Experienced high head sea up to the morning of February "i. Sighted the Three Kings at 6.45 p.m. of January 31, and Van Dieman light at 7.45 p.m. Sighted Tiritiri at 3.40 p.m. on February 1, and was boarded by the pilot off Auckland at 5.30. The Australia resumed her voyage to Honolulu and San Francisco at 1 o'clock this morning, having the outgoing English mail on board.
