TATTERSALL'S LATEST QUOTATIONS. A meeting of Tattcrsall's was held last night at the rooms, Occidental Hotel, presided over by Mr. J. Kirkwood. The programme for the Waiuku Annual Races has been issued. There are nine vents, viz.:—Handicap Hurdle Race of losovs., two miles (over six flights of hurdles 3 feet G inches high); Hurdle Race (for Maoris only) of Tsovs., one mile ami a .listance (over four flights of hurdles), catch weights; Maiden Race of lOsovs., one mile, weight for age, (for horses that have never won an advertised race); Pony Race of lOsovs., one mile (for ponies not exceeding 14 hands 2 inches), top weight 10st.; Waiuku Handicap of 25sovs., one and a half-miles; Handicap (for Maoris-only) of lOsovs., one ind a half-miles; Welter Plate of lOsovs., one and a half-miles ; Welter Weight for ige ; Consolation .Stakes (for Maoris only) of Isovs., one mile, catch weights ; Consolation Handicap (a sweepstake of lsov. with Ssovs. added), one mile and a distance. It will he seen that the above is a very good programme for a country district. There is about £100 to be run for. The races take place on the Waiuku racecourse (near the village), on Wednesday, the -2!)tli of December. Kntries for the Handicap Hurdle race, and Waiuku Handicap close at (i p.m. on Saturday, December 18th. Weights declared on the following Monday. General entries and acceptances close at 0 p.m. on Friday, the 24th December, after which no entries will be received, except for the Maori races. All the races, except those for Maori races only, will be open to any subscriber of not less than XI la'to the funds.
