There was a good muster of ■ each corps, aad after inspection by their officers, Captain Leßoy assumed command, and the corps left the drill shed right in front, marching up Wel-lesley-street to Parnell. The Hobson Company and the Catholic members of the Naval Brigade broke off in front of St. John the Baptist's Churcb, where the Very Rev. Father Fynes preached an excellent sermon from the Gospel of the day, taking for his text the words " Many are called, but few are chosen." The Victoria Company nnd the rest of the Naval Brigade marched to St. Mary's Anglican Church, and attended service there. After the serviues the companies re-united and returned by the Beach i?oad to the drill-shed, where the parade was dismissed. Amongst the officers present we noticed Captains Leßoy, Mahon, and Dignan ; Lieutenants Connelly, Parker, Smith, Selfe, and Mynn. THF. PRINCE OF WALES BIRTHDAY BSVIEW. Adjutant Clifton, of the Auckland Brigade, has been in communication with thecommanding officers o£ other districts and commanders of companies, in reference to their attendance at the review. The Waiuku Cavalry, the Pukekohe and Otahuhu Rifle Companies, have already given in their adhesion, and the Coromandel Company will muster in. good strength in their new uniforms.. .It is expected that the Thames Naval Brigade, and a good contingent from the rifle companies will also be present, although the volunteers of that district will not come in a body.. In regard to the Waikato Cavalry, Major Jackson intimates that they cannot conveniently attend, except they icceive an intimation through Colonel Lyon, the commanding officer of the district, from the Government. The review will take place during the time fixed for their six days' instruction, which is iiecesBary to qualify them for efficiency.
