A HANGED MAN BROUGHT TO LIFE.
Pesth, April 14-—A painful and extraordinary incident occurred yesterday at Raab A c.mvict, 23 years old, named Takacs, was hanged for the murder of two women. After the execution tbe convict was cut down in the usual manner by the hangman, and the medical man in attendance dec ared life extinct. The body, however, when brought under the influence of an electro-galvanic current, by w.*y of scientific experiment, showed signs of life. After a few hours, indeed, Takacs completely recovered, show ingviolenc±towards hiswar.lers. Nothinghas been decided yet as to what is to become of the convict.—April 15 : Takacs died this morning, after suffering much pun from congestion. He was delirious during the night, and at:acked his keeper?. When conscious he complained of feirful pains and asked for mill: and water. The case is being thoroughly investigated.—April 16 : The public excitement and indignation caused by the shocking event in Raab have not subsided yet. lb appears that the occuneuce entirely due to th** premature taking down of tne b dy from the scaffold.
