CRICKET.
SECOND ELEVEN WEST EN T D C.C. I V. WHAU UNION C.C. The return match between these clubs was played on Saturday afternoon at the Whau. The result of the match was in favour of West End by 3G runs with two wickets to fall. There were a number of ladies and gentlemen on the ground, some of each sex from Auckland having gone out for the purpose of witnessing the game. The chief scorers for the Wbau team were King, Lawrence, and Murphy, who made 11 each. For the West End, Woods (with 30), Spry (25), and Steadman (10, not out), were of great service.
