Obesity is undoubtedly a not infrequent cause of fatty degeneration of the heart ana liver. Speaking of tbe heart, a late author says: —*. Some .ot the instances of sudden death of.fat people may be reasonably ascribed to a rupture cf the organ in this weakened state."
