CRICKET.
A cricket match was played in the Domain ou Saturday, between the Auckland and Parnell Grammar Schools, and although, the former school in the lirat innings played two men short, they proved themselves the victors again. The batting of Berry, Holdship, MacCormiok, and McGregor, and the. bowling of Berry and Cheeseman -was of great Bervice to the Auckland Grammar School. W. Goffe, Hall, W. Harden and Ladbrook batted well for the losing side; while W. Goffe and Kissling trundled the leather with good effect. It is much to be regretted that a leading school, such as the Auckland Grammar School, has no cricket ground, as many of the boys shot? a taste for the willow.
