The ordinary half-yearly general meeting of shareholders was held yesterday—Mr. Thomas Macffarlane in the chair. The Seorktary (Mr. E. B. Parsons) read the notice convening the meeting, also the minutes of the last general meeting. - The Chairman read the following abstract of accounts for the half-year, ending 31st December, 1879: — £ b. d. Receipts on revenue account ... 9665 2 0 Expenditure on revenue account 5232 17 6 Total ... ... ••• — £4432 '4 6 Dividend on 7871 shares, at 7s 6d per share ... ... 2951 12 6 Total to be carried forward £1480 12 0 •It; was not necessary to explain, the in the statement before the meeting; The cheques would be ready on the 2nd February. Mr. PrKE: On what - amount is this 7s 6d the interest? What is'the amount.of s 0n;.£757£... The nominal capital is £33,355. ' I . ■ ■ . On the motion'of the Oil All. max, seconded by the Hon. P. Dignan, M.L.C., the statement of accounts was passed unanimously.
