ST. LUKE'S PRESBYTERIAN SABBATH-SCHOOL, REMUERA.

A most "enjoyable day was spent by the scholars and friends of this Sabbath-school on llogatta Day. The scholars assembled at the church at half-past 9, and marched to Mr. Morria's estate, where they enjoyed themselves at cricket, .Tolly Miller, and other popular games, to their hearts' content. The provisions were of the best quality and abundant in quantity. There were upwards of 200 scholars and friends present. After tea, the Rev. G. B. Monro gave out the prizes for regularity and proficiency. The following were the prize winners :—Masters Rhodes, Richard Roner, James Stewart, Robert Heron, Robert M. Ryburn ; Misses Mary Heron, Eleanor Pickmere, Annie McColl, Annie Rowe, Flora Rhodes, Mary McColl, Lizzie Bright, Jessie Heron, James Alderton, Grace Wrigley, Elizabeth Stewart, Thomas Bright, Charles M. Hall, Andrew Stewart, Frank Bright, Jno. Heron, Arthur Pickmere, James McColl, Thomas Heron, Thomas Rowe, Alfred McDonald, Robert Walsh, Stewart Ryburn, James liardie. Mr. Monro also presented the certificates of merits awarded by tho Auckland Sunday School Union, to the following scholars :—Flora Rhodes, Mary Taite, Mary Heron, Elizabeth Bright, Jessie Wrigley, Sarah Jerome, Lilly Probert, Mary Jane Rowe, Stewart Ryburn, William Wa'sh, Charles McDonald, Agnes Grice, Marthi Miller, Maria Miller, John Heron, Robert Angus, Lillie Grice, Isabella McNeil, Kate Angus, Matthew Angus, Kate Wrigley, Sarah Jerome, and Thomas Stewart. Threo hearty cheers were then given to Mr. Samuel Morrrin, for his kindness in lending his grounds for tho occasion to Mrs. A. Clark, for a large supply of peaches and to the Rev. G. il. Monro, for the deep interest he took iu the day's proceedings. After which the pleasant day's enjoyment was brought to a close, and the children returned to their several homes.
