A REMARKABLE CAREER.
The career of M. Dejoan, the proprietor of the circus in til# Champs Elsyees aud ou the Boulevards, who has just died at the age of 94, is n remarkable one. lie started in life as a butcher's apprentice, and his good looks drew all the cooks in the neighbourhood to the shop hf his master, who, on retiring, left him the business. Having amassed a comfortable fortune he started the circus, kept it going for half a century, and realised very large profits.
