Melvir wis out with Balmoal, Loch Lomoad, Grey Slonvis, Awatea, and Kata. After walking round the curs , , an I teeinj* the hurdlus up, he did not like fie gro uul, and took his traa back to Eusom, and wo k':d on that ground. Butier sent Laertes a spin round the Cup course with HaroM, the f.irm-.T having all the beat of it. The l*it=r is quite Dut of his place -when in the cotupiiiy of rachorscs, and is not nearly as gooilookiug as his brother Malvern. His colour also spoils him, bciuya m.aly chestnut, with a light mane and tail. Thorpe had Whitefoot, Magician, and Lalla Kookh out. The former uent a good gallop of about three mile?, moving much better than previously ; the latter ouly did gentle exereis?. Protitt sent Lady Gertrude a good gallop twice round. Sue went pretty well, nut is very moderate. Lady Elizabuth went a good gallop by herself—the Cup course. She is greatly improved in her action, and is very lit. Agent had a good gallop of about three milej. He went rather short at first, but finished up well, lie is in good condition. Yatapa. had a long callop bv himself three times round the i..side. His going did cot please tho lookerson, and he does not appear fit. Mr. Smith had his trio out, and sent Maid ot Honour once round strady, when she was joined by Tim Whiffler and Xantippe. They then went a second time at a good pace. Maid (if Honour at starting moved very short, but improved as she warmed up. Tim went very will indeed, and is improving daily ; with care and in £*ood hauds he will make a useful horse. Xantippe is veiy bif.', and did not mike much ?how. liay eent Maritana a nice pall"p by herself, she moving very froe aud well. Templeton stripped and went a KOod gallop twice round, with PinSre and Lara in their clothing—the old horse moving very free aud well, as also did Finfire. Lara appeared to go a little short at dtartiug, but it wore c.ff. Sinking Fund and Lone Hand, with liay up, did a useful gallop. The furmer in his clothing sweated considerably, and appeared to favour his oil leg a good deal. Lone Hand is in good con dition, end moved very well. Matthews had his team on the course, and. after walking some time, he sent Ariel and Merlin the Cup course, stiipped, at a good pace. Ariel, with a lig ; it boy on, moved very free and well, but blew a good deal, and is short of work. Merlin pulled up leg weary, and did not seem to like the two miles. Daisy did a slowgallop, and is very light. Edward James ( only walked, and ie quite out of sorta Taylor hrd hU string on his own ground, where they did good work, Malveru especially, who is g)iug exceedingly well, aud if the cracks a;e upset it will b3 by him.
