TAURANGA. Octobers.—Arrived: At2.2oa.m..'a.s. Staff.i, and 10.15 a.m., s.s., Gienelg, both from Aucklaud. WELLINGTOU. OcUber 4. —Arrived : The June, barque, from London, after »u uneventful passage. She brings a large general cargo and no passengers. Also, Edwin B.issoll, barque, from Newcastle ; Wallace, from Nelson Rivers, Napier, nnil Enst Coast; Claud Hamilton, from Melbourne, via, West C.iiist. Sailed: Australia, barque, for Newcastle. Cleared out: .Robin Hood, brig, for Newcastlo. GEKYMOUTH. October 5.— Arrived : The Maori, from Westport. Sailed: Tho Waipara, for Hokitika; Lyttelton, for Nelson ; Konnedy, for Westport; Elibank Caatle, for Duuedin ; and Isabella, for Wnitara. LYTTELTON. October s.—Arrived : Tho Victoria, barque, from Port Esperance ; the e.s. Penguin, from Port Chilmers ; the s.s. Hawea, from Auckland, via the East Coast. Sailed : The Cleopatra, for Greymouth ; the s.s. Hawea, for Port Chalmers ; the e.s. Penguin, for Auckland, via the Eiat Coast ports; the New Zealand Shipping Co.'a ship, Orari, for London, with 40 passengers and a cargo of wool, tallow, wheat, &c, worth £49,100. A fierce south-west gale was blowing iu port all morning, accompanie I by hard squalls of hail and rain. A heavy sea is running in the harbour, and during one squall a sheet of water was driven over tho western breakwater from one cud to the other. The barometer is rising and at noon was standing at 2S'BO. DUNEDIN. October s.—Sailed : On October 3, theWangnnui, s.s., for Westport, via Oamaru ami Lyttelton ; and Beautiful Star, for Timaru.
