HEDGE PLANTS.—LycIum Horridum, or African Bex Thorn, In writing of the Box Thorn, Messrs. Lang and Co. say The plants grow vigorously, and produce immense quantities of strong * horrid' spines, and when the hedge is well and folly grown — that is, in about two years—neither cats, nor hens, nor sheep, nor bullocks, would think of attempting to peaetrate the barrier." The Box Thorn bears transplanting very satisfactorily. Plants, per 1000, 30s to 355. Hawthorn, Osage Orange, Rakea, Common Barberry, &c., in quantity.
