THE IRON TRADE DISPUTE.
[by telegraph, press association.] Wellington, Tuesday. The employers and men in the iron trade hare had a conference. The masters said that the reductions would not effect any man not receiving mora than 7s per diem, and would not apply to good men with families receiving above Ss. Higher wages must, however, be reduced, or masters would have to shut up shop. The deputation will report to a general meeting of men to-night.
