TWO GIRLS DROWNED. Sydney, June 30. To-day two girls were drowned whilst bathing , at the Ladies' Baths. SHOT DEAD. ' Sydney, June 28.. A constable having a prisoner in custody shot him dead near Coonamble. The man attempted to escape. At the coroner's inquest the jury returned a verdict of justifiable homicide. THE SUPPOSED KELLYS. Melbourne, June 30. The police are still pursuing the five men disguised in police attire who passed through Corowa on Friday night. They spent £10, and said they were in pursuit of the Kellys. It has been ascertained that they were not police, and it' is believed they are the Eellys. ("reuter's telegrams.] Melbourne, June 30. The police have started-in pursuit of another party eupposed to be the Kellys. MURDER OR SUICIDE. Melbourne, June 30. Bates, the actor, has been found dead on the Fleming Road. The corpse bore marks of violence, and there are suspicions of foul play. DISASTROUS FLOODS. Sydney, June 30. Floods at Grafton have partially destroyed the maize crops.
