It is a curious aigu of Asiatic indifference, that in epite of the O[> a war tho caravan trado from Turkistan through Cabul and the Khyber passes to onr Indian frontier has set in', and progresses as steadily and uiiinter-' riiptertly aa before. Surely this is a sign that trade makes peace, however rulers may make war. The soldier's comment is, that where goods can be carried guns cau travel.
