Rowena, who is 30 thoroughly identified with the trade of that port, has been appointed master. The s.s. Rowena will, in all probability, run in the Thames trade in lieu of the s.-:. The barque Caberfeidh arrived in harbour yesterday morning, from Oamaru, with a large cargo of breadstuff* and grain. The barque left the Southern port on Friday, the 21st inntant, with light S.W. winds, which continued until •off Cape Campbell, and then fresh westerlies until making the Kast Cape early on Wednesday morning. Across the Bay of Plenty light ■ easterlies, until abreast of the Aldermans on Thursday, when it veered to S.W., with which breeze the vessel made the harbour. The topsail schooner Fiery Cross cleared at the Onehunga Customs on Saturday, with .'50,000 feet of timber for Wellington, which will bo taken on board at the Whatipu Mills, near the Heads. The brig Fawn is now loading at Lyttelton with breadstuff's and grain for the Manukau. The barque Bella Mary, from Hobart Town, is discharging her cargo of fruit and jams in excellent condition. She will be a clean vessel in a d.\y or two, and return to Hobart Town at the end of the week. The Union Cta.'s s.a. Rotorua, from Napier, Tauranga, &c. t and the South, should arrive in harbour through the night. The steamer is advertised to sail for Sydney at 4 p.m. to-mor-row.
