Sir, —I notice iu your evening contemporary a letter signed 44 Jim Joikes," with the sentiments of which I entirely concur ; hub he make 3 one error, as I see the sports are to he held in the Domain, and not at Ellers'le, so if all employers were to close sharp at twelve o'clock on Saturday next, it would give their employees ample time to i;et there, and I kn-w that many would be sorry to mian the opportunity of seeing one of the fastest amateur runners in the world perform, uot to mention the excellent object Lo which the proceeds of the meetiug are to be given. 1 trust the leadtug men will set a geod example in this matter.—l am, &c., Athletic.
