IRELAND BROTHERS C.C. V. "HERALD" C.C.
Representative teams of the above clubs met in the Domain, on Saturday afternoon, to play their return match. Some good play was shewa on both sides. The stumps were drawn at six o'clock, when the Hekald team in their second innings had three wickets down for IS runs, leaving them 14 to get to win, with eight wickets to fall, and King batting well. Messrs. Lankham (seu. and jun.) bowled well for Ireland Brothers, and O'Hare and Carter for the Herald. Lankham, juo., Heapes, Carter, and O'Hare did fairly with the bat for their respective sides. The match was decided in favour of the Herald team on the result of the first inoinga. Subjoined are the scores :—
