SUPPOSED DEATH OF A YOUNG LADY FROM POISON.

Rumours were prevalent yesterday in Parnell o£ the death of a youDg lady from tlia effects of poison. So far as we have been able to ascertain, the following are the facta which gave riae to the rumour. The young lady referred to is Miss Alice Turner, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Benjamin Turner, of Newmarket. It ia stated that she suffered from tooth-ache, aad obtained some laudanum from a chemist in town for the purpose of allaying the pain. On Saturday night she described her sufferings to her mother and sister before retiriog to rest. On Sunday morning, when the family assembled, it was found that the young lady was still asleep. Her appearance caused her relatives alarm, and Llrj. Goldsbro' and Haines were called in. The poor yount; girl continued in a state of coma until 9 o'clock on Sunday night, when she died. Everything that medical skill could devise was resorted to for her restoration, but without avail. Miss Alice Turner was about 17 years of age.
