Outwards Coastwise. —Teviot, cutter, for "Waiheke; Lake St. Clair, barge, for Orewa, ■with stores; Ida, s.s., for Russell, in ballast. The Union Company's s.s. Wanaka sailed yesterday afternoon, for Russell. She will • return to port to-morrow morning, and sail for the East Coast and Southern ports at 4 p.m. on Monday. The s.s. Argyle arrived in harbour yesterday morning, from Whangarei and Mangapai, with several passengers and a general cargo of produce, consisting of the following:—s head cattle, 100 cases fruit, 20 boxes eggs, 10 kegs salt, 5 boxes fresh butter, and a small quantity of grass seed and onions. The steamer sailed for Coromandel in the afternoon. The P.M. s.s. City of Sydney left Sydney on Thursday afternoon for this port, and is therefore due in harbour about midnight on Monday. She will proceed to Honolulu and San Francisoo at 2 p. til. on Tuesday. The s.s. Rowena sailed about 10 p.m. yesterday for Tauranga, and took down further pumping gear for the s.s. Taupo. The s.s. Lalla Rookh sailed yesterday afternoon from the Manukau for Raglan. The schooner Amaranth arrived in the Manukau yesterday afternoon from Waitara. The schooner Colonist cleared at the Onehunga Customs yesterday for Kaipara, and will there load wich timber-for a Southern port. The brig Vision cleared at the Customs yesterday for Te Kopuru, Kaipara, and will sail to-day. The Union Co.'s s.s. Wellington is expected to arrive in Onehunga about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, from Ne*r Plymouth and Southern ports, and will be the bearer of the West Coast portion of the outward English mail. The Union Co.'s s.s. Tararua may be expected in harbour on Monday night, from the East Coast and Southern ports. She will proceed to Sydney on Tuesday afternoon. The schooner Coronet is expected to sail for Levuka on Tuesday next. H.I.G.M. s. Ariadne will sail about noon to-day for Apia, Samoa. The A.S.S. Co.*s s.s. Pretty Jano will sail for Gisborne at noon to day. The schooner Phcebe, from Kaipara, arrived in Sydney on the 17th instant. The barque Malay, Captain Love, which was recently in this port, left Sydney on the 19th instant for San Francisco. The steam launch Transit, which bo long ran in the Southern Wairoa trade, has at length changed her field of operations. She •was recently purchased from Mr. Sellars by a party of gentlemen, residents at the Bay of Islands, who intend to run her between Kawakawa and Paihia, carrying the mails, passengers, and other local traffic, which is on the inert .se in this district. During the last few days she has been in the hands of the engineers, &c., and has received a thorough overhaul, and on the trial trip yesterday worked very well. Tho little steamer has been re-christened tho Ida, and we trust that she will prove a profitable speculation to her owners. ! The Union Co.'a s.s. Wanaka arrived yesterday frcm the South. She left Port Chalmers at 2 p.m. on the 21st, arriving at Akaroa at 9.30 a.m. on the 22nd; left again at 10.45 a.m., arriving at Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. the same day; left again At 11 p.m., arriving at Wellington at 7.30 p*ia. on the 23rd; left again at 1.15 p.m. on the 24th, arriving at Napier at 10.45 on the 25th; left again at 5.30 p.m., arriving at Poverty Bay at 6 a.m. on the 26th; left again at 10.30 a.m., arriving at Tauranga at 6 a,m. on the 27th; sailed .Again at L 39 p.m., arriving abpve. The
vessel experienced strong head winds with heavyseas to Wellington, west breeze with moderate sea to Napier, thenco to arrival fine weather. I
