AUCKLAND. The North Shore played Auckland on Saturday in the Domain, aod were beaten by 126 runs. The former won the toss, and sent in Carter and Sibbin to the bowling of Coates and Buckland. Runs came fast, so Robinson relieved the former, which caused a separation, and the innings quickly closed for 44. The principal feature of the Auckland innings was the fine innings of Colbeck, whose cutting and driving were very fine. Cameron played the best innings we have seen him make, his hitting being clean and Buckland ably assisted him with 15 got in his well-known style. Carter's wicket-keeping, the bowling of Buckland and Robinson, and a clever left-hand catch at short-slip by Buckland, are worthy of mention. Score:— AUCKLAND C.G. NORTH SHORE C.C.
