It is, therefore, a stroug spirit, Lettig 10.8 degrees over proof, according to J*ykes. it contains no .sugar, aud only a m-*re trace of fixed matter, in the form of colouring mutter ; it has the flavour of good whisky, andi is remarkably free from fusil oil.
