PUBLIC SALE OF WASTE LANDS.
A SAL'S of waste rural lands of the Crown was held on June 21, at the Waste Lauds Office, —Mr. D. A. Tole, Chief Commissioner, conducting the proceedings. The following sales were effected : Parish of Tk Papa (Tauranga District). —Lot 340, 12Sa., bought by Mr. Culpan at upset price £128 ; lot 359, S3a., upset pries £83, bought by Mr. Culpan at £S4 ; lot 390, 36a., upset price £54, bought by Mr. Culpan at- £100; lot 392, 99a., upset price £99, bought by Mr. Culpan at £100; lot 395. 95a.*, upset price £95, bought by Mr. Kelly; lot 398, 83a. 3r., upset price £S.'i 15s, and lot 399, 42a., upset price £42, were bought by Mr. Kelly. Parish of Apata.—Lot 125, 41a. 2r.; lot 203, 31a. ; and lot 204, 47a., were all bought at the upset price of £1 an acre bj Mr. Aitken. Parish of Manaia.—Lot 31, 50a., upset price £50, bought by Mr. Jordan at £100. Parish or Waipipi (Waiuku District). - Lot 92, 117 acres, upset price £117, fconght by Mr. Alexander at £182; lot 93, llla-i upset price, £111, bought by Mr. Alexander at £172; lot 116, 70a., upset price £70, bought by Mr. Foster at £76 ; lot 212, 50a., bought by Mr. Dickey at upset price £53. Parish of Mangata whirl—Lot ITS, 38a. 3r., bought by Mr. Aitken at upset price £38 15s. Parish of Wangama p i so. — Lot 191. 228 a., upset price £228, bought by Mr. Keid at £415.
Parish of Waiukcj East.— Lot 14, 2k i bought by Mr. Reid at upset price £43 10s. Parish or Waiheke.—Lot SS, 1'21a., and lot 59, 60a., were bought by Mr. Trace at the upset price of £1 an acre ; lot 60, 41a. lr. ; lot 61, 88a., and lot 62, S3a.,_*ere bought by Mr. Hawthorne at upset price 3* £l an acre ; lot 63, 90a , was bought by Mr. Watere at upset price £90. Parish of Waiwbsa.—Lot 247, 50a., upset price £56, bought by Mr. Ai'.kens £157. The four other lots in this paw* were not sold. Parish of Komokoriki, Kaipara n* TRICT.—Lot 104, 84a. 2r. 2p., up=et_price £169, bought by Mr. Dignan at il9i ; 105,81 a., upset price £IG2, bought bj - r - Dignan at £199; lot 106, 90a, upset price £180, bought by Mr. Dig'iaa at £200 , 0 107, 137 a. 3r., was also bought by Mr. dignan at the upset price £275 10s. The total proceeds of the sale amoun £3350, but it is not, known yet what propor tion of this amount represents actual ca? , and what proportion is to be paid m scrip.
